Last season, GOM (Gravity & Other Myths) presented Backbone, a piece that wasn't all gumption. This season, still driven by its desire to broaden the possibilities of contemporary circus, it presents A Simple Space, whose space is indeed very rudimentary, but whose programme is particularly strong.

In a setting as small as a postage stamp (we're exaggerating, but only slightly), with no make-up, no set and no fuss whatsoever, seven young acrobats go beyond their physical limits in a succession of intense games and unheard-of challenges that greet the audience like a mushroom lover receives an armful of ceps in October. Impressed by the density of their actions and the excellence of their art, as well as by the beauty of the bonds that unite them and the marvellous harmony they manage to create between themselves, you'll feel the urge to join them on stage - to indulge, in your turn, in some physical prowess and, why not, begin a new career...
