Starting out from Bibracte, the ancient capital of the Eduens, set off on a looping circuit through the Morvan and its signposted trails to discover a rich heritage and a natural environment where nature is omnipresent! Ride your mountain bike down the slopes of the Morvan. Along the way, you'll come across typical Morvan villages with their own heritage attractions, such as Saint-Léger-sous-Beuvray and its neo-Romanesque church. A cross between a church and a basilica, its pillars will remind you of those of Saint-Lazare cathedral in Autun. Further along the route, take advantage of the Poisson pond for a picnic break and recharge your batteries before finishing the adventure. This is also known as the "Gallic pond". It's popular with anglers for its carp and its breathtaking view of the foothills of the Beuvray. Admire the forest landscapes and small hamlets before reaching the last straight stretch of the route. Warm up your calves - the return to Bibracte has to be earned! At 810 m, Mont Beuvray offers a magnificent panorama of the Morvan. If you try a little harder, the ancient capital of the Eduens is not far away and will come into view as you go along. When you arrive, take the opportunity to visit the museum, the archaeological dig site and the magnificent beech forest with its strange trees.
