DAY 1 : arrival in Beaune.
Arrival in Beaune, a beautiful town in the middle of the vineyards. After arrival, if you have time, we advise you to immerse yourself in the Middle Ages and the Burgundian atmosphere with a visit to the Hôtel Dieu. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.
DAY 2 : Beaune - Chassey-le-Camp : ~ 25 km
After breakfast, you will start your bike ride through the vineyards on a cycle track passing through the famous wine villages:...(Please provide the house code when booking)
DAY 1 : arrival in Beaune.
Arrival in Beaune, a beautiful town in the middle of the vineyards. After arrival, if you have time, we advise you to immerse yourself in the Middle Ages and the Burgundian atmosphere with a visit to the Hôtel Dieu. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.
DAY 2 : Beaune - Chassey-le-Camp : ~ 25 km
After breakfast, you will start your bike ride through the vineyards on a cycle track passing through the famous wine villages: Pommard, Volnay... and the Grands Crus vineyards (Le Montrachet, Le Bâtard Montrachet ... ). Many wine tasting options along the way to Santenay. Then a short stretch of the cycle path along the canal, before reaching your destination at the beginning of the Côte Chalonnaise. Your hotel offers both an outdoor and indoor swimming pool!
DAY 3 : Chassey-le-Camp - Dracy-le-Fort : ~ 25 km
After breakfast, you will ride through small country roads to join another cycle path along the "Canal du Centre" to reach Chagny, pass by Rully and reach the Chalon-sur-Saône area. Dracy-le-Fort is a small village on the border of the Côte Chalonnaise vineyards. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel with swimming pool.
DAY 4 : Dracy-le-Fort - Cluny : ~ 44 km
After breakfast, you will join the Voie Verte in Givry (a wine-producing village that produced the favourite red wine of the French king Henri IV). This cycle path is built on an old railway line and was the first cycle path in France. You will enjoy the peaceful and charming Romanesque architecture in Buxy, Saint-Gengoux-le-National, Malay. Arrive in Cormatin, ideal for lunch and a visit to the castle before heading to Cluny. Other visits on this day include Cluny Abbey and the stud farm. Overnight stay in a 2* hotel.
DAY 5 : Cluny - Mâcon : ~ 28 km
After breakfast you will join the cycle track again and follow it to Mâcon. The landscape becomes more hilly, although your route on the cycle path remains easy. On the way, the castle of Berzé-le-Châtel is a romantic place to visit, the beautiful view from the road will invite you to make a diversion for a short visit. You will also cross the longest tunnel open for cyclists and continue the ride through the Lamartinien valley with a magnificent view of the Solutré rock. Night in a 3* hotel in Mâcon.
DAY 6 : departure after breakfast. Possibility to return to Beaune by regional train.
