The idea for Chez Marguerite came from the creative minds of Annabelle and Roos. We wanted to create something together: a shop that was creative, warm, cosy and high quality.
Annabelle, who regularly organises markets, had noticed that there are many talented designers who create marvellous things, but who find it difficult to sell their products or reach a wider clientele.
Roos, as an exhibitor at every market Annabelle organises, has seen how essential it is to show your work and tell people about it. Not only does it help people to understand their craft better, it also inspires others.
Through Chez Marguerite, we want to provide a space where artisans can display and sell their creations. We want our visitors to be able to find unique objects, or even made-to-measure creations, and take part in creative workshops that awaken their own artistic senses.
The mission of the association behind the Chez Marguerite boutique is to showcase handmade objects by local craftspeople. We want to create a place where everyone can find unique objects and wonderful gifts, made with love, care and respect for the environment. In this way, we are indirectly contributing to a world where people buy with care and conscience, valuing quality and creativity.
