Bullying regularly and sadly makes the headlines when a young victim commits suicide. No society can tolerate such losses! It is estimated that 700,000 young people are affected, 380,000 of them severely.
Since the advent of social networking, victims no longer have any space of freedom, since the harassment continues at home via the screen. In 2021, 40% of primary school pupils had an account; by 2023, this figure had risen to 86%!
What underlies bullying? What are the short-, medium- and long-term consequences? What are the warning signs for parents, given that the law of silence often prevails? What is the position of the French Ministry of Education? How can we prevent (preferably) and take action if prevention has failed?
These are just some of the questions this conference will try to answer.
