Gîte de Pauvray

Ecological gîte in the countryside, offering a haven of peace for a peaceful holiday in a preserved and environmentally-friendly habitat. It is part of a sustainable development philosophy based on the preservation of natural resources, the use of renewable energies and the use of natural, local and recyclable materials that have no harmful effect on health, in keeping with the principles of protecting the planet. Ideally located in South Burgundy, easy to reach, 35 minutes from the Creusot Montceau TGV station (Paris 1h20 - Lyon 40mn), and close to the motorway exit, you can explore the vineyards of the Côtes Chalonnaise or Beaune, the foothills of the Morvan and the landscapes of the Autunois. The gîte is fully equipped (washing machine, dishwasher, freezer, 2 TVs, beds made up on arrival for your convenience, bed linen provided).

In the heart of Burgundy, on the Morvan side, in rolling, unspoilt green countryside, the Pauvray gite is a charming place with a warm, original decor, spacious, simple, rustic and restful, respectful of environmental concepts, using spring water, geothermal energy and solar power, ideal for family and friendly gatherings, birthdays and celebrations or small business meetings and seminars. A large hut housing tricycles, tractors and other vehicles will keep children occupied while they play pétanque or relax under the large oak tree, several hundred years old.

The old farmhouse adjoining the manor house has been completely renovated to create a comfortable gîte sleeping 25 adults and 3 babies. There are 6 bedrooms, with double beds, single beds and bunk beds. 2 bathrooms with 3 showers, a terrace, 3 lounges, one with a large television, a laundry room and ample parking.

There is a large dining room for meals, evening gatherings or seminars, opening onto a fully-equipped kitchen (dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, electric cooker, microwave, gas cooker and oven), 2 fridges, a freezer and a washing machine in the utility room.

Starting point for beautiful walks in the forest. Small grocery shop in the village. There are plenty of things to do nearby: the Burgundy canal, the Settons lakes with beach and supervised swimming, municipal indoor and outdoor swimming pools, nearby medieval villages, vineyards and wine-tasting cellars, hiking trails and, above all, Autun's historic Gallo-Roman and medieval heritage.

Rates: Rental rates: the gîte is rented in its entirety (no other tenants than yourself) for €500 per night and 2 days; €900 for 2 nights and 3 days, (then €300 per additional night and day), arrival and departure times as you wish but to be noted on the contract; all charges included (tourist tax and bed linen included, but cleaning option available in addition).
