In Vélo Véritas - balade cyclotourisme

After a welcome coffee-croissant in the park of the Château de Couches from 08:00, the start is given at 08:30 exactly ... then it will be ..:

▪ 09:30: Epinac, Rue de la Gare
▪ 10h00: Château de Sully (30-minute break)
▪ 11h00: Ravelon, Intersection of the D116
▪ 11h30: Autun, Camping route de Saulieu
▪ 12h00 : Autun, Terrasse de l'Europe

Depending on the physical abilities of each participant and therefore the actual arrival times, the aperitif will be offered from 11.30am by the winegrowers of the Union des Producteurs des Côtes du Couchois, who will accompany you throughout the afternoon. A detailed itinerary will be available on arrival at Château de Couches.

After the aperitif at around 1.00 p.m., it will be time to dine in one of the restaurants around the Terrasse de l'Europe, where Côtes du Couchois wines will of course have pride of place.

At 3.00 pm, there will be an audio-guided tour of the town of Autun and a Concours d'élégance (Bicycles and Costumes) in front of the Tourist Office...

Then, from 5.00 p.m., it's time for music and dance with the "Sourdines à l'huile"... and as shaking your booty makes you thirsty, there will be a refreshment bar all afternoon.

Dress code :

The age of the bikes will span nearly a hundred years, so it's a good idea to combine costumes and eras... and to respect the spirit of the event with impeccable dress and behaviour. As you will have gathered, this is not a cycle race, but a walk between Couches and Autun for all lovers of fine food and wine.

Regulations:

Apart from the rules governing the use of a velocipede on an open road and compliance with the highway code, the only constraints for registering for the ''In Vélo Véritas'' event are as follows:
▪ Register a bike that is 50 years old or older.
▪ Be in costume in keeping with the era of your velocipede or bicycle. ▪ Free registration (excluding lunch).
▪ Maximum 99 participants.

Families, friends and spectators are of course welcome, all the more so if they are also in costume, and cheering is not forbidden either...

The general public will be able to enjoy the finish and the afternoon's entertainment.
