La Boucle de Roussillon

Start at Place de l'église in Roussillon (car park)
Return to the crossroads, passing the old inn. Turn right onto the D277 and follow it towards Aigreveau.
After the pond, turn left at the fork to reach this hamlet. The road bends to the left and you should follow it for a further 200 m to the junction where you should turn left onto the wide dirt track that climbs up to the ridge.
After around 800m, turn right onto an ancient Gallic road. It descends and then climbs to the Haut des Ruets plateau. Here, turn left onto the perpendicular track and follow it for 500m.
Turn right onto the track opposite a detached house in the hamlet of Jeusot. It crosses a small wood and joins another Gallic track, now tarmacked. Turn right along this track for 300 m. At the fork in the road, leave it and turn right again down into the hamlet of Les Barbeaux.
Turn right again between the houses. The tarmac soon disappears in favour of a gravel path that descends steeply to the ford of the Ruets (or Bruets) stream.
Cross the stream and turn left onto a good track that leads to the Viollots mill on the banks of the Canche.
Turn right onto the D277 and leave it soon after the mill to take the left-hand path that runs alongside the millstream and stream. This path climbs quite steeply at first. Halfway along (hill 511), at the fork in the road, continue straight up to return to the village of Roussillon, and straight on to Place de l'église.
