After a career as artistic director for luxury brands such as Cartier, Chanel and Guerlain, Véronique Capmeil has set herself a new challenge: to create chic, welcoming places for guests who love beauty and culture.
La Cour de Beaune is Véronique's second Chambre d'hôte. After an initial success in a sublime village near Uzès in the south of France, where she restored an ancient medieval residence, Véronique is now bringing her expertise to Burgundy. La Cour de Beaune was born, a blend of comfort and beauty, luxury and relaxation.
A Parisian with artistic training at the École Supérieure des Arts Appliqués Duperré, Véronique is the archetype of the French touch. She loves challenges, ground-breaking projects, the infinite richness of nuances, the baroque spirit, beautiful objects rooted in history and charged with meaning, controlled exuberance, the energy of cities and the beauty of nature. She combines basics and fantasy for a look that's selective yet relaxed, with a touch of rock poetry...
What's more, she loves the designers and artists she has worked so closely with throughout her career, and offers a selection of their objects at La Cour, on display or as a natural part of the decor in the bedrooms and restaurants.
Véronique loves receiving, listening to and helping people, bringing them together for joyful moments of sharing, helping them to choose, guiding them in their tourist adventure. Creative, generous and enthusiastic, she is a happy, cheerful woman who loves life and people. So she shares her taste for beautiful things, her elegant, relaxed lifestyle, and her warm, sincere welcome.
