La Croix de la Libération

Depart from the Pierre de Couhard car park.
- Opposite the church, take the path on the left that runs alongside the millstream and follow it for 1 km to the footbridge, which you cross.
- Turn left and after 75 m follow the yellow and green signs up the 100 steps to the forest road.
- Turn right and 100 m further on a path climbs to the left. Continue for 80 m, then join the path by the steps on the left.
- After 600 m turn right. Go downhill, cross the road and take the path opposite. 100 m further on, take the path on the left.
- After 1 km, turn right onto the road that follows Etang des Cloix to the entrance to Parc de Montjeu.
- Take the path on the right that runs alongside the wall for 2.25 km until you reach the road. Turn left, then 50 m further on, take the road on the right as far as the Croix de la Libération.
- Opposite the town, take the path down to the right (red and white GR markings).
- After 400 m turn left, then 600 m and follow the track to the right, after 750 m turn left out of the woods.
- Follow the signs to Couhard on the left, then take the 2nd turning on the left.
- 200 m further on, at the park gate, follow the signs down Rue du Moulin Gamet and continue straight on. At the end of the cul-de-sac, take a footpath and then turn right.
- Go up the path and take the track on the left, following it for 500 m up the stream.
- Cross the road and go up Rue de la Cascade, then follow the stream in front of the houses on the left to get back to the starting point.
