Whether Jeanne, Marguerite, Nicolas, Gustave or...La Maison 1680, located between Cluny and Beaune in the charming medieval village of Couches, welcomes you to a sumptuous setting for a Burgundy getaway. This carefully renovated guest house respects its 350-year history while offering modern comforts, ideal for wine lovers, history buffs and nature enthusiasts.
The establishment offers elegantly appointed rooms, each with its own unique ambience and picturesque views over the park or pool. Whether Jeanne, Marguerite, Nicolas, Gustave or Joseph, they all boast refined decor and luxury amenities to ensure an exceptional stay. There is a choice of layouts: four of the rooms can be furnished with either a double bed or two single beds. The Gustave and Joseph rooms can be made private to form La Suite des Inventeurs.
For those with a sweet tooth, La Maison 1680 offers a table d'hôtes offering a culinary experience based on local, home-made products (every Saturday, subject to availability and booking - single menu at €55 per person, excluding drinks).
The estate extends over 2 hectares of greenery, inviting you to take a stroll as you listen to the birds singing and the wind whispering through the surrounding vineyards. The large heated swimming pool, perfect for relaxing, is surrounded by terraces of Givry wood. And to round off the day, why not indulge in a massage under the trees, weather permitting.
Thanks to its privileged location, La Maison 1680 is an ideal base for exploring regional attractions such as the Hospices de Beaune, Cluny Abbey, and the many vineyards and châteaux in the area. It also offers easy access from major cities such as Lyon and Paris.
