Moutarderie Fallot, the last remaining family-run, independent and traditional mustard-maker in Beaune, invites you to discover this legendary condiment, renowned the world over but so little known...

Housed in an inner courtyard just a stone's throw from the Hospices de Beaune, Etablissements Fallot are the last remaining mustard-makers to use recipes handed down through the generations, grinding the seeds with stone millstones to give the paste all its flavour.

Preciously preserved antique tools and equipment are displayed in the original Napoleonic building (just as they would have been in a mustard-maker's workshop in the 19th century), with lighting, sound and scents to immerse you in a timeless atmosphere like no other: that of mustard.

A fun, interactive tour (using the very latest museographic techniques) will take you back through the centuries to recall the gestures and traditions associated with mustard and its history, and lead you into new sensory experiences!

So, if you'd like to discover new pleasures, from making mustard to tasting it, this is an immersion in the world of mustard not to be missed!
