Le pays innocent

An ecological fable performed by a choir that puts its heart and soul into creating a better future.

To save him from the prevailing doom and gloom and the ecological devastation that is plaguing our world, a mother dresses her little boy in a spaceman's suit and offers to send him straight away to a planet far from Earth, covered in vast, dense forests and miraculously devoid of all forms of violence.

This exploration of the land of innocence, located somewhere behind a black hole, is told by four performers who converse with each other, talk in turn or sing in unison in a fertile dialogue with a wave player (a player of the ondes Martenot) and a double bass player (you know what that is) present on stage. It is this intertwining of musical material and theatrical words, made up of poems, stories, tirades and fragments, that serves as the compass for this journey to the frontiers of the social and the imaginary, the political and the dreamlike - and which never forgets to trace, alongside the contours of this Innocent Country, a few lines of flight towards a devilishly more cheerful future...
