Knife-thrower, tightrope walker and acrobat, Édouard Peurichard has decided that one physical feat after another is no longer enough. So why not put down his weapons for a second and talk about his career path, which has led him to work with people with disabilities, for example? Here's the thing: for this Edouard with silver hands, are words as easy to fiddle with as sharp blades?

That's what's at stake in Repos du guerrier (Warrior's Rest), a slightly madcap one-man show straddling the circus and the theatre, in which the multi-talented artist takes on a hesitant and frankly hilarious account of his experience on stage - be it true or totally fantasised. With his glibness, his incessant addresses to the audience and his mobile phone taped to his head in place of an HF microphone, the circus artist takes a malicious pleasure in revealing the backstage and side aspects of his art without sparing any effort. There's no rest for the warrior, then, but a wild energy in the service of a hymn to joy - because this Peurichard is anything but a whiner...
