Robert Schumann, of course, but also Felix Mendelssohn, Johannes Brahms and Franz Liszt will be making an appearance. All were lovers of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and interested in the organ. In addition to a Prelude and Fugue by Clara Schumann, Pascal Sabot will play pieces by each of these great Romantic figures to illustrate Clara's story musically.
Contralto Anne Roubet will join the organist in singing three works by Brahms.
The organ at Saint-Henri seemed ideal for this repertoire, and there's no doubt that the quality of its timbres will work wonders on this occasion.
