Maison des Galvachers

Museum, Agriculture rural life, Animals, Popular arts and traditions, Living museum, History, Agricultural land in Anost
  • Recollection of the nomadic life of the cattle-drivers of years gone by through period illustrations and first-hand accounts. The "galvachers" were known for their dexterity in driving dray horses and oxen. A tradition now extinct but brought back to life with extensive documentation and an excellent audiovisual presentation.
