Résistance en Morvan / Visite thématique "les femmes dans la Résistance"

Although women played an essential role in the French Resistance during the Second World War, they have often been forgotten by history. The "Women in the Resistance" thematic tour highlights the participation and actions of women in this clandestine struggle. Whether they were liaison officers or nurses in the maquis, helping with supplies or providing accommodation, women took on many tasks that were vital to the logistics of the Resistance, while running the same risks as men. Throughout the visit, a number of portraits of "heroic and anonymous" women members of the Resistance are evoked and brought to life through readings of texts and personal accounts by volunteers from the Morvan libraries.

This event is organised in partnership with the Morvan libraries (Communauté de communes Morvan Sommets et Grands Lacs) and the Morvan ecomuseum network.
