Sous le regard de Notre-Dame

Start: square in front of the church (car park)
Opposite the town hall, go up the D262, following it to the left at the crossroads (mark 388). At the fork in the road, take the left-hand signposted path to "Source Ste Claire, N-D de la Garde". At the 1st junction, take the left-hand lane. At the 2nd fork in the road, take the one on the right (the left-hand path, which goes past a private garage, leads to the Fontaine Ste Claire).
leads to the Fontaine Ste Claire AR= 500m). From the path, you can see the Fontaine enclosure below. Follow the path as it curves around a wide bend. Near the summit, turn right to reach the statue of the Virgin. Go back down to the right. You will find the original path again, which you follow to the right until you reach a tarmac road. Follow this to the left until you reach the last house. Continue along the path, which climbs and then descends towards the D114 (see alternative below). Follow the road for about 1 km: 2 new paths open up on the left. Take the furthest left at the corner of a small wood. It leads to the hamlet of Sénavelle. Turn left up the small road that leads back to the church.
Alternative route: When you reach the D114 (hill 326), turn left onto the track. It goes up along the Bois des Cots and reaches the Croix Credo (viewpoint, picnic table). Take the path on the right down to the church.
