Day 1 :
Arrival in Beaune, a pretty little town and the centre of Burgundy's wine industry. A visit to the Hospices de Beaune is a must and a visit to the Fallot mustard factory will delight young and old alike. Night in a 3* hotel.

Day 2 : Beaune- Chassey-le-Camp : 25 km
After breakfast, you will start your cycling itinerary by the "voie des vignes", small roads that wind through the famous vineyards, such as Pommard, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet... You will have plenty of opportunity to taste and visit the estates until Santenay. Then you will reach the Burgundy canal before reaching the Côte Chalonnaise. Your hotel offers 2 swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor.

Day 3: Chassey-le-Camp - Dracy-le-Fort : 25 km
After breakfast, you will ride on small quiet roads before joining the Burgundy canal served by a cycle track to Chagny which marks the beginning of the Côte Chalonnaise, then Rully, neighbouring village of Mercurey (wine and crémant de Bourgogne producing villages). Shortly before Chalon-sur-Saône, the village of Dracy-le-Fort will be your stop for the night in a 3* hotel with swimming pool.

Day 4 : Dracy-le-Fort - Cluny : 44 km
After your breakfast, you will go to Givry (a winegrowing village that produced Henri IV's favourite wine) via small roads on the Voie Verte. This is the beginning of a cycle path built on an old railway line, and it was the first in France! You will appreciate the quietness of this track and the landscapes of vineyards and hedgerows that line the route.
The Romanesque architecture of the villages of Buxy, Saint-Gengoux-le-National, Malay and all these churches will transport you back in time. Once you arrive in Cormatin, a lunch break is ideal and a visit to the famous castle along the route before you arrive in Cluny.
The abbey of Cluny is one of the monuments to be seen in Burgundy as well as the National stud farms. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.

Day 5: Cluny - Mâcon : 28 km
After your breakfast, you set off on the Voie Verte to Mâcon. The landscapes start to change and become more hilly even if the difficulty of the route remains moderate. On your way you can admire the castle of Berzé-le-Châtel, a romantic and picturesque place that you can visit. Children will particularly enjoy the crossing of the Bois Clair tunnel, the longest in Europe open to cyclists. Soon the Val Larmatinien opens up to you, the Roche de Solutré, Vergisson and the Mâconnais! Night in Mâcon in a 3* hotel.

Day 6: departure
After your breakfast, you can catch a train back to Beaune, Paris or elsewhere.
